Our Story Begins In The Western China
Szechuan cuisine originates from Szechuan Province which is located in the Southwestern part of China. Szechuan Province is famously known as “The Kingdom of Heaven”. It was named during the Three Kingdoms period because of its rich natural resources. Located on one of the four greatest basins in China this region has the best quality water and the most fertile soil. The extreme climate (humid, damp and steamy in the summer) plays a major role with influencing the local people’s palate. As a response to the extreme climate, the local people started eating spicy and fragrant food to balance their metabolism.
